Returns, Cancellation & Amendment

We hope that by providing sufficient information to you, that you will be able to make the right choices. However, we recognise that mistakes happen and aim to be flexible.

Once payment has been taken for an online order then no amendments can be made on the site. If you need to amend or cancel an order before shipment but after payment has been made you will need to contact us.

Once an order is dispatched, subject to conditions, School Style provides you with an extended period of up to 30 days from receipt during which you can return items to us for refund or exchange. Being able to provide an exchange/ refund service depends on returned items being resaleable. To qualify for either a refund or an exchange all returned goods must be :

  • Received back within 30 days of receipt by you.
  • Fully resaleable (in the same condition as they were when we sent them to you).
  • Unused, undamaged & unwashed.
  • In their original undamaged packaging with hangers when those were supplied.
  • Featuring no personalisation.

To return an item for exchange or refund please return it, suitably packaged, including your order number (shown on the dispatch note that accompanied your order or on your confirmation email or invoice) and your details of your request. When returning goods you should use the printed returns label on the dispatch note that accompanied your order. When this is not possible any returned goods must be marked as ‘Returned Goods’ and sent to:

School Style Ltd, Meridian House, Road One, Winsford, Cheshire CW7 3QG

Returns received outside the 30 day period or requests for refund or exchange that fail to meet the above criteria in any other way are not normally accepted and in the instances where we choose to do so, we reserve the right to deduct a re-stocking charge to cover the costs of making the returned goods resaleable (or the cost of the goods is this is the lower).

A note about shirts and blouses : If you choose to try on packed shirts or blouses it is unlikely that you will be able to return them in a resaleable condition and therefore unlikley that we will be able to offer a refund.

Distance selling legislation does not automatically apply to garments which have been customised for your order, for example, by the addition of embroidery or in any other way made to order. However we may exchange for a different size of the same garment.

Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of returning goods to School Style. We are not accountable for returned items that fail to arrive for instance those where insufficient or no postage has been applied. In that instance, where you have included sender details, parcels will normally be returned to you by Royal Mail.

Faulty Products

Product faults are rare as all items are checked and those that undergo embroidery are checked again.

Any faulty products that are received and require exchange should be reported to us with in 48 hours of receipt by email to orders@myschoolstyle.com or by calling 03333 01 1231.

School uniform is made to be robust but unlike most other clothing, uniform is worn every day and washed at least every week. In addition playground rough and tumble can place enormous stresses on clothing in general but seams and zips in particular.

Virtually all failures are a result of cuff or collar seam failure which could be due to unnecessary physical damage or could be due to factory faults. We always take an approach that is flexible and fair to all customers and as failures due to faulty seams will almost always become apparent in the first 2-3 weeks during the first month of use we will usually offer a replacement. However, neither School Style nor our suppliers can be held responsible for damage caused by other reasons and as such beyond that 1 month period replacements will not usually be offered.

A word about zips: when zips stop working it is usually because the zip closer has been damaged. They are tough but standing on them or when they become trapped in a closing door it is possible that they become distorted preventing smooth operation. Normally one side will be more closed than the other. This is invariably obvious on close inspection and can easily be repaired with the careful use of a screwdriver inserted into the side that needs widening and twisting it.

Zip pullers do sometimes come off. In fact on some garments they are designed such that under the right conditions they can be easily taken off. In the same way that the puller/ closer mechanism can be removed it can also be replaced – PLEASE DO NOT DISCARD.

Should you want to report an item that is faulty or to return an item for exchange that is faulty you should notify us within as soon as possible. We cannot normally consider an exchange once the item has been used or worn.

Should you have any queries regarding the return of goods to us under the above provisions please contact us.
