St. Joseph’s School strives to enable every child to reach their own potential. Whilst we are proud, and rightly so, of our academic achievements, which continue to be among the best in the City, developing the whole child is equally, if not more important.
It is the firm belief of the Governors that wearing a uniform gives an essential unity, cohesiveness and family feeling to our school helping build children’s self confidence as well as nurturing a sense of pride in belonging to the school. Therefore the wearing of school uniform is compulsory and we expect our children to maintain a smart appearance during the school day. The uniform requirements outlined in the menu to the left are a basic guide only. Fashions may change but we expect our children to present themselves at all times in a conventional style. Decisions on what is acceptable will be made by the Headteacher. If you are in any doubt please contact her at the school.

School uniform policy
The following have been selected by St Josephs Catholic Primary School as approved uniform.
All items should be labelled with the child’s name.
Girl’s Uniform
- Grey V Neck pullover or cardigan with school emblem.
- White blouse & school tie.
- Grey skirt, pinafore or trousers.
- Optional brown fleece or coat with school emblem.
- White or grey socks/ tights and black shoes.
Girl’s Summer Uniform
- Yellow checked dress.
- Yellow polo shirt with grey skirt (years 5&6 only)
Girl’s PE Kit
- House colour Tshirt with school emblem.
- Black or white PE shorts.
Boy’s Uniform
- Grey V Neck pullover with school emblem.
- White shirt & school tie.
- Grey trousers.
- Optional brown fleece or coat with school emblem.
- Grey socks and black shoes (not trainers).
Boy’s Summer Uniform
- As above with option of shorts.
- Yellow polo shirt.
Boy’s PE Kit
- House colour Tshirt with school emblem.
- Black or white PE shorts.
